Unborn

from Memento Mori by Binary Code

/

about

100% of proceeds will be donated to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention in honor of a loved one whom inspired the new record, "Memento Mori", an upcoming album forged at the deepest level of grief; a raw testimony of the struggle to accept the burdens and brutal bindings of our own minds. This is a story about human limitations, a tragic surrender to emotional demons, and the heart-wrenching aftermath of a horrific death.

lyrics

Could we pretend this is the first time
Strangers in a peculiar world
We dance close to the edge

you called me out

Can we play like we used to do
Our inane games
You hold the match, i will be the wind
We ignite the eventide
with madness in our eyes
Finding solace in the lie

you called me out
I will follow you in
show me where
And fall
hold my hand
down
we descend
I
will provide relief
Reveal your hurt
We are forever
In this plight
we endeavor
lost
try to escape me
And you will find that we are bound
as one

I am unborn and still conceived
I am the product of your fears
I am your ego in disguise
I am the path of your demise
I am the bitter sweet relief
I am the hours of your grief
I am the one and only truth
you find when nothing else holds true
