Those I Sought to Spare (feat. Jeff Loomis)

from Memento Mori by Binary Code

/

about

100% of proceeds will be donated to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention in honor of a loved one whom inspired the new record, "Memento Mori", an upcoming album forged at the deepest level of grief; a raw testimony of the struggle to accept the burdens and brutal bindings of our own minds. This is a story about human limitations, a tragic surrender to emotional demons, and the heart-wrenching aftermath of a horrific death.

lyrics

now as acceptance washes over me
the voices gone and all that's left is clarity
I have made my peace

I look over to say my goodbyes, and my heart fills
With remorse, eyes wide open, I finally realize.
What is left by my void is the rift in your lives
All the pain and the anguish that you’ll feel
when I'm gone

and no letter, no words, and no song will ever mend
Please forgive me, I’ve wronged you, blinded by despair
All the light and your guidance, I threw it all away
now who will be here for you
when I am dead and gone

I vanish into oblivion
A chasm embroids my sorrows
On those I sought to spare

I vanish into oblivion
A chasm embroids my sorrows
On those I sought to spare
