Into the Maw

from Memento Mori by Binary Code

/

about

100% of proceeds will be donated to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention in honor of a loved one whom inspired the new record, "Memento Mori", an upcoming album forged at the deepest level of grief; a raw testimony of the struggle to accept the burdens and brutal bindings of our own minds. This is a story about human limitations, a tragic surrender to emotional demons, and the heart-wrenching aftermath of a horrific death.

lyrics

Staring back into the past he found
Face on pavement more inviting
than any chemical breach
Sold it all, found nothing else,
Forgot what it’s like to not need
To care for this beast
A ravenous obsession

The voice was loud and clear it drew him in.

Staring down into the maw he found
Solace not known to him before gazing back at him

The voice was loud and clear it drew him in.

Come to me
Do not sway
I will show
You the way
have no fear
This is right
Walk straight in
To the light
come to me
I will take
All your pain
Your heart aches
No more doubt
No more grief
come with me and you will find your peace

Come to me
Do not stray
I will take
You away
Broken past
I will mend
Come with me
To your end
The asphalt lines ahead form your path
Embrace the blinding void with awe
