from Memento Mori by Binary Code

/

about

100% of proceeds will be donated to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention in honor of a loved one whom inspired the new record, "Memento Mori", an upcoming album forged at the deepest level of grief; a raw testimony of the struggle to accept the burdens and brutal bindings of our own minds. This is a story about human limitations, a tragic surrender to emotional demons, and the heart-wrenching aftermath of a horrific death.

lyrics

Safely in this feeling
darkened blinders to deceive
Fake but not for those who
think it true and cannot see

-- Never question I
in mind's eye there is but one
all else fails to see it done
-- Perspective is a lie
if you stray you will be lost
there is no path but that you're taught

Rapt - all that they long for
Contradictions left unheard
Rage will spread the safety
of that old familiar word

Fear will hold them closely
darkened blinders to deceive
Fake but not for those who
think it true and cannot see

Faith marches on with its legions
casting shadows of bewilderment

-- Never question I
in mind's eye there is but one
all else fails to see it done
-- Perspective is a lie
if you stray you will be lost
there is no path
