Even Death May Die

from Memento Mori by Binary Code

/

about

100% of proceeds will be donated to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention in honor of a loved one whom inspired the new record, "Memento Mori", an upcoming album forged at the deepest level of grief; a raw testimony of the struggle to accept the burdens and brutal bindings of our own minds. This is a story about human limitations, a tragic surrender to emotional demons, and the heart-wrenching aftermath of a horrific death.

lyrics

I let my emotions take me
all of their conjuring ways
Adrift I find myself wondering
How can I turn pallid fortune
Into chaotic flame
These blameless circumstances crashing

I want to see where it can take me
I want to see how far we'd go
and all the promises it made me
I want to see if they were true
and with every passing moment
the thoughts will weave away and fall
and my attempts to bring them closer
will only tear apart my soul

I vow to face my internal strife
Like a Phoenix rising, I will find resolve in
Charred remnants of my waking life

alive again
from this moment I will regain
my sense of real
empathy comes with every blow
I will swear not to let it go
and just be

I let my emotions break me
And put me in check as I fall
The weight of consequences guides me
All my restraints unshackled
Become a chaotic flame
My reservations brightly burning

alive again
from this moment I will regain
my sense of real
empathy comes with every blow
I will swear not to let it go
and just be
